Sparkle Hip Hop | 5-6 Year Olds

Calene Ebel
Pure Dance Works: 1 (map and directions)
Thursday, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Start Date: 08/14/25
Duration: 40 Weeks
End Date: 06/04/26

Students must be 5 or 6 years old by October 1 to enroll in Sparkle Hip Hop.

Sparkle Hip Hop students love to move and groove to their own beat. If fast-paced and creative describe your child, this is the place they’ll want to land!

Because five and six-year-olds easily relate to the world of pretend play, dance moves are often introduced using imaginative storylines.

Sparkle Hip Hop students love to raise the roof, crack a stick, and ninja walk.

Dancers adore learning to keep the beat in Reggie’s Rhythm Circle, and they develop confidence as they bravely participate in a cypher by showing off their favorite moves.

Teachers trained and certified in the proven Leap 'N Learn method intentionally nurture the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of typical five- and six-year-olds in every class using professionally designed, developmental- and education-based lesson plans.

  • Physically, Hip hop improves balance, agility, and gross motor development. Students learn a variety of hip hop moves based on everyday actions that they can relate to.

  • Socially, Dancer Manners are an essential part of Sparkle Hip Hop. Dancers are recognized as Star Students when they show respect to others by expressing encouragement, keeping quiet when necessary, and listening to and following directions.

  • Hip hop has a heavy emphasis on personal style development. This is a safe space to explore self-expression without fear of ridicule. Students encourage one another in their quest for their own style.

  • Weekly coloring sheets display a central component of the day’s lesson plan, such as “Raise The Roof.” They are a perfect conversation starter that allows parents to further facilitate their child's understanding and retention of class content.

Hip hop at Pure Dance Works takes the best from hip hop culture and leaves the rest behind. Classes are always squeaky clean and promote teamwork, respect, and putting forth your best effort.

Our mission to preserve childhood innocence means you have complete peace of mind, knowing that child-friendly content and modesty are a top priority in the studio and onstage for students of all ages.
