Composed and ready for more, Ripple 2 Junior Ballet students are serenely honing their beginning-level ballet skills, and they are introduced to intermediate-level skills.
They have established basic muscle memory and have reached the age when they are physically and cognitively ready to begin training in classical ballet and perform with clean timing and technique.
To enroll in Ripple 2 Junior Ballet, students:
- Have completed Ripple 1 Ballet or the equivalent
- Are at least 8 years old on October 1 of the school year in which class begins.
- Older Beginners aged 10 or older may begin in Ripple 1 Ballet with no catch-up lessons, or they may begin in Ripple 2 Junior Ballet with a minimum of 6 catch-up lessons at an additional cost.
In order to begin preparing for the ultimate expression of ballet, dancing en pointe, Ripple 2 Junior Ballet students are strongly encouraged to take two Ripple 2 Junior ballet classes per week.
Two classes weekly more than double the rate of progress. Two ballet classes per week develop muscle memory, alignment, and stability at an exponential rate. Students who take multiple ballet classes weekly are typically ready for pointe work sooner than those who do not.
Ripple 2 Junior is the 2nd year of the five-level Ripple Program.
At the conclusion of Ripple 2 Junior Ballet, students progress to Ripple 2 Senior Ballet, where they will continue sharpening their beginning-intermediate technique.
